You’re one of the few who accepts the real me

Someone whom I can be whatever I want

You always praise and appreciate myself

Though how naughty and silly I am.

With you I have the freedom to express

What my feelings and emotions within

I can laugh, I can frown, I can sigh

I can be myself without disguise.

You always see the best in me

Pleased with the little things I’ve done

I admit I do things that annoy you

But you’re so considerate you don’t mind.

Sometimes things get rough and hard

That quitting is the only way I have

But there you are to touch my hand

Assuring you’ll never leave me behind.

I believe that I’ll not stumble down

For you are there to treat me so kind

I believe that ill not lost my path

For you are my light in the dark
